Leadership Studies Student Research Symposium
About the Conference
The 3rd Annual Gonzaga University Leadership Studies Student Research Symposium will take place on the campus of Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, on March 27th and 28th, 2015. The aim of this conference is to surface and explore emerging questions and/or completed research and service currently occupying leadership studies undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students at Gonzaga. The conference is intended to stimulate dialogue and critical reflection of the multiple perspectives of our students, our programs and the complexity of the field of leadership studies. The conference is also intended to highlight the leadership studies research methodologies currently alive in our programs.
Our conference organizers are committed to encouraging leadership scholars and practitioners from various programs and levels to participate in an all-inclusive dialogue about the state of the art in leadership studies at Gonzaga University.
The Symposium will start at 3pm on Friday, March 27th with activities running until 8pm that night. The following day, Saturday March 28th, will start at 8am and finish at 3:30pm. All activities except for the Friday night dinner will take place in the Jepson Center.

5:50 – 6:00: Move to Herak Club Room (dinner)

Keynote Speaker: Lucinda Kay, Former TV News Anchor
Lucinda Kay has worked in the communications industry since 1994, as a TV and Radio News Anchor and Reporter, and behind the scenes as a communications coach and owner of her company, Let It Shine. Lucinda coaches a delightfully diverse group of people, from political candidates and CEO's, to entrepreneurs and families, to folks just getting started and people in transition. She coaches and speaks around the U.S., Canada, and Jamaica, and was named as one of the "Top 20 Under 40” in the Business Catalyst magazine. A self-titled “servant leader,” Lucinda has a long history with Gonzaga University, subbing and speaking for undergraduate classes and mentoring dozens of interns who have gone on to positively impact the world.

Saturday morning speaker: Kevin Benson
Kevin Benson is a speaker, professor, and performer who loves improvisational comedy and believes that it can literally change the world. He has been teaching and performing in Spokane for more than 15 years and is passionate about changing the way organizations and individuals think about the way we work, communicate and interact with one another. Kevin has helped people at every level in organizations become engaging, quick-thinking leaders with his highly practical Improv strategies. He can be found online at www.boldmoveconsulting.com.
