DPLS Academic Calendar
Students should be able to view the Spring 2014 course schedule by Friday, October 18, on ZagWeb.
DPLS courses are offered during four sessions each year. The DPLS schedule generally follows the Gonzaga University Academic Calendar, but it does deviate from it often. Therefore, we suggest that students follow the DPLS Academic Calendar.
The following is comprised of general dates for each term, barring any changes due to major holidays or conferences. Please note that DPLS does not break for snow days and most holidays, although DPLS schedules around Thanksgiving and Easter.
Fall: September - December (14 weeks)
Spring: January - April (14 weeks)
Summer I: Beginning of June to mid-June (2 weeks)
Summer II: Mid-June to end of July (6 weeks)
(Together, Summer I and II consist of the “Doctoral Summer.”)
The following calendar is comprised of the exact weeks DPLS classes meet during the 2013-14 school year. (Summer 2014 calendars should arrive in by the end of 2013.)
Yellow = Class weekends
Red = ILA Conference, ila-net.org
Green = DPLS 776 Leadership, Authenticity, & Hospitality Retreat: Oct. 11-13, 2013
Purple = Easter Weekend
Pink = Graduate School Commencement
Note: In the spring 2014, DPLS classes begin a week later than the regular GU term. While the GU term begins January 14, DPLS begins January 23. However, if DPLS offers an online course, that course will begin January 14. Always consult ZagWeb and your syllabus for definitive info.
Generally, all classes meet 6-10 p.m. with the exception of 8 a.m.-Noon on Saturdays. Refer to your syllabus for specific location and other details.
We have a Google calendar, which is found below or via the link. You should be able to sync up with your own if you would like. (Journal Club's Google calendar may be found here, as well as within the calendar below.)
