Foley Library Welcomes Rebecca Devereaux
Hailing from East Wenatchee, Washington, Rebecca Devereaux's upbringing along the Columbia River deeply influenced her academic and professional journey. She earned her undergraduate degrees in History and English Literature from Whitworth University before pursuing a dual master's program in History and Library and Information Science at Simmons University in Boston. This unique program allowed her to combine traditional academic studies with hands-on exploration of the city's rich cultural institutions, including its many museums and special collections. Her time in Boston also introduced her to her favorite dessert, the cannoli.
In her leisure time, Rebecca enjoys exploring local coffee shops, playing music, and traveling. A tuba player, she is a member of a community band and frequently performs with the Wenatchee Tubadours, a tuba quartet/quintet. She has also recently embraced K-Pop, attending her first concerts this year. Rebecca is an avid traveler with a personal goal to visit all 50 U.S. states. She is thrilled to join the Gonzaga University Foley Library team as a liaison librarian, where she looks forward to connecting with the School of Business and School of Leadership Studies faculty and students.
