GONZAGA: Introduce yourself!

TURCOTT: My name is Ryan Turcott, I am a faculty member in the department of Kinesiology and Sport Management. Currently, some areas I'm involved in on campus, two projects I've been working on are, first, a study abroad class at the Summer Olympics in France. We will be taking 20 students, my colleague Dr. Karen Rickel and myself. Number two, we're in the middle of a sport diplomacy project with the US Embassy and Ecuador that's focused on travel and cultural exchange. 

What is your favorite place on campus?

I have two favorite places on campus. The first is the Thomas Hammer coffee shop in Jepson Center and number two is the Rudolph Fitness Center for noon basketball on any weekday.

What's your best piece of advice for students?

Number one is to study abroad, especially at our Gonzaga in Florence campus. Number two is to play intramural sports, it's a great way to stay physically active and also to meet friends.

What was your first job?

My first real job was an internship with the Seattle SuperSonics. I was in community relations and I was running their youth camps for the Sonics. 

What are your favorite TV shows?

Favorite TV shows, number one is "Curb your Enthusiasm," and number two is "Ted Lasso."
