The Gonzaga in Delft: Sustainable Cities course kicked off today for the 18 Gonzaga students and three faculty exploring the home base of Delft, Netherlands and getting fitted for the bikes that will be their primary transportation over the next three weeks.

The day ended with a welcome dinner in the heart of the historic city. Everyone is looking forward to learning more about how the Dutch incorporate sustainability into designing and maintaining their urban infrastructure to ensure the future of a country where more than a quarter of their land is below sea level.
