Tracey Hayes received her Ph.D. from Arizona State University in Writing, Rhetorics, and Literacies. Her research focuses on digital spaces and how these spaces impact our lives personally and professionally, including the social, economic, mental, and ethical aspects of our lives, and how we interact and communicate within these spaces. Her research has been published in journals including Computers and Composition and The Journal of Hate Studies and she regularly presents her scholarship at conferences, including the National Communication Association, Conference on College Composition and Communication, and Computers and Writing.
She has received multiple grants and awards including an International Education Council (IEC) Global Engagement Faculty Development Grant for the proposal “Digital Ethics to Foster Equity and Inclusion” in London, England (Summer 2023) and a Climate Center Faculty Micro-Grants (Feb 2023) for site visits in the Tucson area to develop a Sustainability course that includes an immersive experiential learning experience in the Desert Southwest teaching students sustainable methods which they can implement within their own communities.
