Business Students Discover Their “Superpowers” in Leadership Workshop
This fall, the School of Business Administration hosted a hands-on leadership workshop led by Kimberly Thielman, Visiting Executive in Residence. The program, titled Find Your Superpower, invited juniors and seniors to explore their unique strengths and discover what authentic leadership means to them.
The evening brought together a select group of students for an amazing dinner, discussion, and connection with local business leaders. Participants heard candid stories from C-suite executives including Charlotte Nemec, President and CEO of Canopy Credit Union; Eric Williams, Community Partnership Director of Second Harvest; and Jennifer O’Callaghan, Chief Operations Officer of Secured Investment Corp. They shared pivotal moments and career-defining lessons from their own leadership journeys.
Through the small group conversation, students shared their experiences and identified their personal “superpowers,” the values and traits that define their leadership style. They left the dinner with practical insights, renewed confidence, and a clearer sense of purpose as they prepare to lead in their careers and communities.
