GU's future mission is envisioned as an educational force for social good on a global scale.

Gonzaga University will bring internationally renowned artist Dale Chihuly to Spokane as part of its 125th Anniversary celebration to present a free public lecture at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 25 in the Bing Crosby Theater (901 W. Sprague Ave.). Free tickets for the public sold out March 26, the first day they were available.

Junior Danielle Hyatt will work in the lab of Dr. Shahin Rafii at Weill Cornell Medical College as part of a highly selective program of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

The Jundt Art Museum continues its celebration of the 125th anniversary of Gonzaga University with the exhibit "Chihuly: Tradition and Transformation" This selection of drawings and glass sculpture from artist Dale Chihuly will be on display in the Arcade Gallery from April 5 through July 31.

When Gonzaga freshman center Przemek (SHEM-eck) Karnowski stepped onto campus, his presence was immediately known. It's difficult to miss a 7-foot-1-inch, 305-pounder walking to class in College Hall. Karnowski has made his presence felt on the court immediately, as well, scoring 20 and 17 point in his first two games.
