About This Event
Monday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m.The Myrtle Woldson Center hosts a screening of Teinosuke Kinugasa's 1926 silent horror classic "A Page of Madness," accompanied by a benshi performance. World-renowned and Tokyo-based benshi artist Ichiro Kataoka will provide live narration and commentary during the screening, accompanied by a new score for live cello and mixed electronic music by composer Dylan Champagne. Ichiro Kataoka's visit is co-sponsored by the Habib Institute for Asian Studies and the Japan Foundation-Los Angeles.
