About This Event
A panel of Spokane-area college students explores the theme Spiritual Film Themes in a Secular Age, as part of the Faith, Film, Philosophy 2024 series organized by the Gonzaga Faith & Reason Institute. The panel will be moderated by Dan Bradley (Gonzaga, Philosophy). Panelists and presentation topics are:
- Caleb McGever (Whitworth University), “John Wick and Confession: Augustine’s Guide to the Movies”
- Connor Mahoney (Gonzaga University), “The Loss of Logos: an Analysis of Planet of the Apes”
- Anna Nowland (Gonzaga University), “Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring: From Secular Hedonism to Spiritual Interiority”
- Holden Smith (Gonzaga University), “The Radical Charity of Babette’s Feast”
An audience Question & Answer period will follow the panel presentation.
