About the Speaker
When Josh Lankford (METD ’14) started at Umatilla Electric Cooperative, UEC’s peak demand was around 160MW and provided 875 million kilowatt-hours (kWH) of power a year. Today, UEC is one of the top five fastest growing and top 10 largest cooperatives nationwide; seeing $598 million in revenue in 2023, peaking at about 1,010MW, and selling just over 7 billion kWH with forecasted growth for many years to come.
During his tenure, Josh has seen members invest in multi-billion-dollar developments and expansions, and Josh has been at the forefront of ensuring these large-scale projects get completed on time and on budget.
As Vice President, Josh helps lead UEC’s 125 dedicated employees serving more than 10,000 members over 48 substations and 2,300 miles of power lines in northeastern Oregon. His presentation will cover a 10,000 foot view of recruiting, working with, and serving large loads.
