About This Event
If you’re interested in nutrition, you have likely heard the term, ‘gut microbiome.’ What is it, and why should we pay attention to it? Is it true that ‘you are what you eat’?
Please join us for an interesting and informative lecture from Dr. Chris Damman, clinical associate professor of Gastroenterology at UW School of Medicine. Dr. Damman will share how our bodies are transformed by bioactive compounds in the foods we eat including fiber, phytonutrients, fats, and ferments, and how this twenty-first century approach to the foods we eat inspires next-generation nutritional approaches to non-communicable diseases.
