About This Event

Join the Office of Mission and Ministry for the first event in our three-part series on the Church in the 21st Century.

Fr. Pat Howell, S.J., D.Min. will address how Pope Francis is charting a course for the Catholic Church in the 21st Century marked by living as a mature adult church, celebrating its cultural diversity, being a field hospital, breaking out of the manacles of clericalism, and centering the Gospel's commitment to the poor, marginalized, migrants, and excluded.

In the Spring our series will continue with the following events:

February 13, 2020: Jodi O’Brien, Ph.D. (Seattle University) – Radical Listening, Radical Kinship: A Way Forward for the 21st Century Church

April 2, 2020: Fr. Patrick Baraza, Ph.D. – African Catholicism and the Church of the 21st Century
