Elected to the Washington State Supreme Court in 2012, Justice González has shown a commitment to open access to the justice system. He has been active on the Washington State Access to Justice Board, the Interpreter Commission, and the Washington Leadership Institute Board. He also regularly participates in the Northwest Minority Job Fair. Prior to his election to the Washington State Supreme Court, Justice González was a trial judge on the King County Superior Court and a federal and King County prosecutor.
