About This Event

Student director Nathan Patrick Nelson presents an immersive, multi-media theatre experience featuring the 1977 post-modernist drama, Hamletmachine.

As a site-specific ambulatory production loosely based on Shakespeare's Hamlet, rather than sitting in seats watching the show, the audience is free to move and explore the world of the play as it unfolds around them. The story progresses through a sequence of monologues and reflective scenes, highlighting the tensions in contemporary American culture related to power, criticism, dissent, and change.

Follow actors throughout College Hall’s Magnuson Theatre and explore a dystopian near-future as performers explore the themes of Hamlet as told by East-German playwright Heiner Müller.
