About This Event
You Can In Spokane is a networking event featuring a keynote speaker, Gonzaga Alumni, and representatives from the Spokane business community. The purpose of this event is to showcase the tremendous opportunity to live and work in Spokane area.
The keynote speaker is, Spokesman-Review editor Rob Curley. Rob has worked at some of the biggest and smallest newspapers in the nation. From The Washington Post and Orange County Register to the Lawrence Journal-World and Topeka Capital-Journal, it’s been his love of local journalism that drives him. After building some of the most award-winning news sites on the Internet, he has been featured on the cover of national magazines and even an Apple commercial. Creativity Magazine named him one of the 50 Most Creative People in the World, and he’s one of the only newspaper editors in the world to give “Tech Talks” to Google's programmers on the web giant’s main campus in Silicon Valley. At the center of all of it is his love for community stories and he brings that passion to Spokane and The Spokesman-Review.
