Our Catering Philosophy
To embody in our events the values of our mission, the Climate Institute has adopted a catering philosophy that emphasizes regional, seasonal, and plant-based foods whenever possible.
Why a plant-based meal?
Globally, livestock production is amongst the highest sectoral sources of greenhouse gas emissions and local water pollution. To reduce impacts to human and non-human animals and the systems on which they depend, the Climate Institute provides plant-based foods whenever possible.
Dietary accommodation
In our selection of foods, we endeavor to make all attendees feel welcome and nourished. If you require dietary accommodations, please contact us at ClimateInstitute@gonzaga.edu.
