Why Gonzaga and why the MBA program?

I chose Gonzaga because its reputation for excellence extends far beyond the classroom. Growing up in Spokane, I saw Gonzaga’s active involvement in community programs and charitable initiatives, and I knew I wanted to be part of an institution that leads with purpose. As I progressed in my career, I consistently heard graduates speak highly of the quality of their education, the strength of the alumni network, and the enduring sense of community they gained. The MBA program at Gonzaga reflects all of these values and offers the rigorous, mission-driven education that I wanted.

What has been your return on investment?

Pursuing my MBA at Gonzaga has delivered meaningful returns both professionally and personally! I earned a promotion about midway through the program and immediately applied new competencies that helped me contribute at a more strategic level in my organization. I also gained a network of values-aligned peers with diverse backgrounds, friendships that will last well beyond the classroom, and a community I have and will continue to draw on throughout my career. Completing this degree was a lifelong goal for me and my family, and while it required dedication and hard work, it was absolutely worth it!

What was your experience with the faculty like?

I expected Gonzaga’s faculty to be highly knowledgeable and experienced – and they were all that and more! What impressed me most was the genuine connection and personal investment many of my instructors made in my success. I felt cared for individually, supported based on my unique needs, and continually challenged to grow. The relationships I built with faculty were so meaningful that I’ve stayed in touch with many of them after graduation.

How was your experience building community and a professional network in the program?

Building community was one of the most meaningful parts of the program for me. I valued the in-person aspect and the opportunity to form genuine connections with classmates I likely would never have met otherwise. Those relationships have continued outside of the program as well – we still support one another, share advice, celebrate milestones, and navigate life together as friends. The professional network and sense of community I gained at Gonzaga remain among the most impactful outcomes of my MBA experience.

What would you say to anyone considering Gonzaga’s MBA program?

Prepare to learn deeply, build lifelong friendships, and expand your understanding of leadership and business in ways you wouldn’t expect. Gonzaga’s MBA program challenges you, supports you, and ultimately transforms you both professionally and personally. Do it!
