Zags Giving Back: Jenelle (Sisco) Trimmell (’17) Leads with Purpose at Microsoft
Gonzaga alum Jenelle (Sisco) Trimmell (’17), Program Manager at Microsoft, is helping shape the next generation of leaders through one of Microsoft’s most powerful traditions of philanthropy: the GIVE Campaign.
Each October, GIVE mobilizes employees worldwide to support nonprofits through donations and volunteerism. Last year alone, Microsoft employees worldwide contributed $263 million and more than 1.2 million volunteer hours, with every hour generating a $25 donation to the volunteer’s selected nonprofit.
In October, Gonzaga alumni at Microsoft created a mentoring opportunity where alumni spoke to students one-on-one, which was used as volunteer time through the Microsoft GIVE campaign to provide a monetary donation to GU at the same time.
For Jenelle, GIVE is an extension of her Gonzaga roots. Through mentorship programs like the Global Mentorship Initiative, she and fellow alumni guide students navigating an evolving workforce shaped by AI and innovation.
Jenelle also supports the Microsoft–Gonzaga Corporate Partnership Committee, a group strengthening connections between the University and Microsoft through career development, alumni engagement and collaborative programming. Together, these efforts ensure the Zag tradition of service, leadership and community continues on Microsoft campuses and far beyond. It’s a reminder that when Zags give their time and talent, they create ripples of impact that reach further than they ever expected.
