Nationally, only 24% of Engineering bachelor degrees were awarded to women and women only represent 16.7% of those employed in the engineering field. Gonzaga’s School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) believes that women engineers and computer scientists promote transformational practices in communities. The world needs more women engineers and computer scientists.
To introduce young women to engineering careers, National Engineers Week holds Girls Day on Feb. 26, 2026.
Join Gonzaga's chapter of the Society of Women Engineers -- which is open to men and women -- and write an encouraging note to a girl who excels in math. Postcards provided outside Bollier 103 from 12:15 - 1 p.m.
