Starting Thursday, November 12 at 1:00 PM, Foley Library will host a special archival display celebrating the 100th anniversary of Babe Ruth’s historic visit to Gonzaga. Located on the main floor directly in front of the Circulation Desk, the exhibit features a historic baseball hand-signed by Babe Ruth himself, generously donated to the university by the Murphy family. Presented alongside select materials from Gonzaga University Archives & Special Collections, the display showcases 1920s GU baseball history, archival photographs, and the ball’s century-long journey from Fr. Art Dussault, S.J., through the Murphy family, and back home to Gonzaga. The exhibit will remain on view through December.
