Part-Time MBA Program Ranks 46th

SPOKANE, Wash. — U.S. News & World Report ranks Gonzaga University’s Part-Time MBA program as the 46th best in the nation. The rankings, released today, are part of the publication’s 2022 edition of “Best Graduate Schools.” The publication also ranks Gonzaga’s Graduate Accounting as the 26th best in the nation.

U.S. News & World Report also gave Gonzaga’s MBA program high marks in the following specialties: 4th in the nation for Project Management; 26th best for Entrepreneurship; and 32nd best for Finance.

Gonzaga’s MBA programs currently enroll approximately 160 students. Of those students, approximately 70% are working professionals in the Inland Northwest. The Gonzaga MBA combines small class sizes, internationally recognized educators, faculty-led study abroad program, community-engaged courses, and a relevant curriculum to tailor the student experience for individual goals and flexibility. In the MBA program, Gonzaga offers concentrations in finance and project management, as well as a general MBA with a variety of elective options. Gonzaga also offers an MBA in American Indian Entrepreneurship.

“Being ranked in the top 50 MBA programs nationally is a recognition of the high quality of our students, the tireless work of our faculty and staff, and the relevance of the curriculum,” said Mirjeta Beqiri, Ph.D., director of Gonzaga’s MBA Programs and a professor of operations management. “What our students value most about the program is the integration of ethical, social, and sustainable themes across the curriculum — which exemplify Gonzaga’s mission in action. I’d like to amplify a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all of our students and colleagues for their resilience and dedication to the MBA program during such a challenging time.”

Gonzaga’s MBA program ranking is based on five factors:

  • Average peer assessment score (50% of the overall score)
  • Average GMAT score and average GRE quantitative, verbal, and analytical scores of part-time MBA students entering in fall 2020 (15%)
  • Average undergraduate GPA of students entering in fall 2020 (12.5%)
  • Work experience of students entering in fall 2020 (10%)
  • Percentage of each business school’s fall 2020 MBA enrollment that is part time (12.5%).

To be eligible for the Part-time MBA ranking, a program must be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International in summer 2020 and have had 20 or more students enrolled part-time in fall 2019 and fall 2020.
