About This Event
Dan and Cecilia Regis will join Gonzaga business students for a conversation on planned giving, drawing on their own experience as longtime donors and stewards of family wealth. The Regises will share how they have approached philanthropy throughout their lives, from funding college educations for more than 40 nieces, nephews, and grandchildren to establishing the Jud Regis Chair of Accounting and, most recently, directing a portion of their limited partnership interest to Gonzaga through their estate plans. Students will hear practical insight into how planned gifts work, including tools like charitable trusts, IRA rollovers, and business interest transfers, alongside the personal values and family history that have shaped the Regises' giving over the years. The session is designed to give students a firsthand look at how thoughtful financial planning can align with purpose driven values, offering lessons relevant both to their future careers and to their own understanding of generosity and legacy.
