About This Event
Calling all survivor allies! Learn more about how our community addresses sexual violence, what resources are available for survivors on campus and in Spokane County, and what you personally can do to address sexual violence at Gonzaga and beyond.
This conference will comprise of a series of hour long workshops led by victim witness advocates from the Spokane County Prosecutor's Office, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, community based victim advocates, and GU staff. We'll talk about criminal cases, evidence collection, bystander intervention, and have an hour for a wellness activity.
The Keynote for our event will be a screening of the award winning independent film "Disfluency" followed by a Q&A with writer, director, and survivor, Anna Baumgarten.
This event will be open to the public and staff and students are especially encouraged to attend. There is no requirement to commit to the whole day of workshops, attendees are encouraged to attend the workshops that are most convenient.
