What Can I do With a Political Science Degree?

Our faculty develops theoretical knowledge about politics, ability to identify political values, and to make sound political judgments. We value the strength to write and speak coherently, logically and persuasively about, and strive to cultivate public-spirited participation in civic affairs.

Political Science alumni have found many ways to make a difference in the world. Students are prepared graduates for careers in politics, the nonprofit sector, legal professions and international affairs. Many serve as Peace Corps, Americorps or Jesuit Volunteer Corps volunteers in the years immediately after graduation. Some go on to study and practice law or pursue advanced degrees in Political Science and related fields. Still others become diplomats or elected officials, or do campaign, legislative, policy, or advocacy work.
