Mission

The Gonzaga University Military Service Community (GU-MSC) exists to unite all members of the Gonzaga community who have served in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. It is predominantly comprised of alumni who graduated from the Gonzaga Army ROTC program but is also open to any alumni or friends of Gonzaga University who are currently serving as military professionals, and any veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. This community is also inclusive of friends and family members who are connected to the veteran members of this group.

Focus

The GU-MSC will focus on serving current veteran students and cadets who are enrolled in the GU Army ROTC program, building a strong world-wide, network of veterans, creating mentorship and sponsorship opportunities, assisting with admissions recruiting efforts and growing philanthropic support for current and future Zag students and veterans.

Purpose

Connect the worldwide network of Zag military service professionals and veterans across the globe, including alumni, friends and family who have served in the US Armed forces, focusing primarily on the GU ROTC program.

Create connections between students, alumni currently serving and veterans for mentorships, including transiting from college to service life, career service life and from service life to civilian life.

Strengthen the GU ROTC program through recruitment and retention.

Support student veterans and community members at large, who have a variety of complex needs and face myriad challenges related to service.
