Thoughts and Prayers - Anchorage Earthquake

Last Friday, November 30 at 8:29 a.m. a magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit seven miles north of Anchorage, Alaska.  Reports indicate that the earthquake caused multiple power outages, damage to roads and buildings, and closures of schools, businesses and government offices.  Approximately 40 current Gonzaga students are from the Anchorage area, along with numerous parents and families, alumni, and friends of the University.  Our hearts go out to those who have been affected by this significant natural disaster.

Please join me in praying for those who have been impacted by this incident.  We ask God to be with them, as well as all those who are working to aid and assist the region.

Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, For my soul takes refuge in You;
And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge Until destruction passes by.  – Psalm 57:1
