Lauren Hackman-Brooks

Areas of work: Director of Mission Formation, Faculty and Staff Formation and programming, Ignatian Spirituality and Spiritual Exercises

Lauren was drawn to Gonzaga by three loves - Jesuit education, ministry, and the outdoors. Lauren first encountered the Jesuits and Ignatian Spirituality during a two-year post-graduate volunteer program at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago. This experience captured her heart and imagination, and what started as a “two-year thing” has grown to over a decade of working for and with the Jesuits.

Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Religious Studies from the University of Dayton and Master of Divinity from Catholic Theological Union. She is a spiritual director, retreat director, and writer. Lauren is grateful for several profound experiences of study abroad and pilgrimage (pictured in 2019 in the Sea of Galilee). She is a wife and a parent, a voracious reader and an enthusiastic home cook.
