Magis Commitment

Magis is a Latin word that means "more" or "better." It is related to Ad majorem Dei gloriam, a Latin phrase meaning "for the greater glory of God."

Gonzaga University is committed to providing grant and scholarship aid to cover the cost of tuition for first-year students throughout Washington state who qualify for the Federal Pell Grant. The Federal Pell Grant is a financial aid program awarded to students who show exceptional financial need. To be eligible students must be admitted to Gonzaga as first-year student, have a permanent address in the state of WA, submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant.
