2018-2019 CCE Student Leadership Applications
The Center for Community Engagement is hiring AmeriCorps members for the 2018-2019 academic year to support Youth Programs and Community Engagement efforts including the Zag Volunteer Corps program. See below for details about each position.
The Washington Campus Compact’s College Access Corps supports local youth in grades 4-12 in the CCE Youth Programs with the goals of increasing academic engagement, preparing youth for post-secondary education, and sharing knowledge about the college application and financial aid processes. College Access Corps members work with Gonzaga students to provide interventions that increase college readiness and awareness. This AmeriCorps program is contingent upon the grant award from Washington Campus Compact and funding from the Corporation for National Community Service. The Washington Campus Compact’s Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) supports the development of campus-community partnerships that address critical community needs with a focus on educational access and food security in Northeast Spokane. VISTA members work with Gonzaga students and staff to develop and support partnerships with community organizations and community members through the Zag Volunteer Corps program and other CCE and GU initiatives.
