- Campus Kitchens YEAR 3-4HRS/WEEK: Support the Campus Kitchen by leading student volunteers during cooking shifts in the kitchen and at meal sites throughout the Spokane community. Leaders will meet weekly to plan events and explore topics surrounding food security and food justice.
- GAME YEAR 6-8HRS/WEEK: Facilitate quality mentoring relationships through sport-like activities that promote teamwork, youth voice, increase self-esteem, and encourage positive interactions with peers at local middle schools. Leaders meet weekly to plan out weekly activities, one large event per semester, and support mentor engagement in programming.
- Connections YEAR 6-8HRS/Week: Work to develop activities that promote college and career readiness, create a vision for the future, and support mentor-mentee to participate in a variety of academic and recreational activities at local middle schools. Leader roles include, Activities Coordinator, Mentor Coordinator, and Parent/Teacher Liaison.
- Sparks YEAR 6-8HRS/Week: Plan activities and help develop Sparks mentors. Leaders aim to help youth build social, emotional, and academic skills. Meet at J.R. Rogers High School once per week to foster a safe and supportive environment for youth through positive relationships where youth strengths are explored.
- Gonzaga Family Haven YEAR 6-8HRS/Week: Plan and facilitate after-school programming for youth who live at Gonzaga Family Haven, a housing community in the Logan neighborhood for families previously experiencing houselessness. Leaders facilitate reflection with mentors and support event planning.
- Eye to Eye YEAR 6-8 HRS/Week: Create weekly mentoring/art room sessions, which build self-esteem and advocacy as youth embrace their abilities as different thinkers. Leaders also help raise awareness and build a community for college students and youth who learn differently. Leaders are trained by Eye to Eye staff to lead the mentoring program at a local middle school.
- Campus Kids YEAR 6-8HRS/WEEK: Create, plan and implement weekly mentoring programs for 4th-6th grade youth exploring college and career access as well as social and emotional development. Leadership roles include Activities Coordinator, Mentor Coordinator, and Parent/Teacher Liaison.
- Zag Study Buddies YEAR 6-8HRS/Week: Serve as a positive and consistent role model; building quality mentor relationships while working with youth to support academic excellence by providing tutoring and homework assistance. Create activities, guide a group of GU students and implement programming twice a week at a local elementary school.
- Smile YEAR 6-8HRS/Week: Serves youth K-6 as a positive and consistent role model while guiding a small team of GU students as they build quality mentoring relationships with youth through various theme centered activities that help increase self-esteem, promote youth voice and build positive identity.
- Zag Volunteer Corps 3HRS/Week: Lead groups of fellow GU students at different nonprofits across northeast Spokane. Sites address various topics such as homelessness, elder care, refugees and more.
- GUSR YEAR 4-5HRS/Week: Lead a program that provides recreation opportunities for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Build relationships and create yearly events such as theater productions and a talent show.GUSR Leadership requires 1 year of GUSR volunteer experience.
- Justice in January Program YEAR 3-5HRS/WEEK: Support the Justice in January Program through planning and facilitating week-long immersion experiences in U.S./Mexico border communities during the winter break and coordinating group advocacy projects and actions on campus and in the local community during the Spring semester. *Leaders receive a full program fee waiver*
- Spring Immersions SEMESTER 3-5HRS/Week: Lead a regional community immersion that explores one or more social justice issues engaging with and learning from communities and community partners. Leaders meet regularly as a group throughout the spring semester.*Leaders receive a full program fee waiver*
