Fee Waiver Information
The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) at Gonzaga University has instituted fee waivers for the Service Immersion programs to provide greater access to Gonzaga students to engage in service. We believe that the cost of Service Immersion programs should not be a deterrent to those who are eager and committed to perform works of outreach and community service. The financial support of this fee waiver is intended to foster student leadership development by encouraging civic engagement, service, and community outreach. Service Immersion fee waivers are available to students who have demonstrated financial need (e.g. submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students experiencing loss of family income or other financial hardships may also apply.
Applications will be reviewed by a committee of CCE staff who will award the fee waivers based on the number of applicants and availability of funds. Fee waiver amounts will range depending on available funds and student need. Eligible students can receive this fee wavier up to two times during their studies at Gonzaga University.
Open to Gonzaga University undergraduate students in good standing with student development, and a Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above. Applicants must complete all necessary paperwork and meet program requirements. Students must complete the general application and provide the name and contact information of a reference.
Preference will be given to students who have:
- Quality essay
- Documented Financial Need
- Explained how a service immersion experience will enable them to expand and enrich their experience at Gonzaga.
- Exemplified qualities of a good ambassador for the university through leadership, multi-cultural sensitivity, strong communication skills, and a desire to engage others.
