Dr. Christine Henesh-Lyle, PhD, FNP-C, is a proud alumna of the Gonzaga FNP program. She has been a nurse practitioner since 2014 and is currently the Program Director of the FNP Program as well as a lecturer in the FNP/DNP Program at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Her expertise is on the role transition novice nurse practitioners make as they journey from formal education to practice. She has over 20 years of nursing experience with eight of those as a family nurse practitioner. Dr. Henesh-Lyle is heavily involved in advocating for APRN healthy policy in the State of Idaho and is currently the Past President of Nurse Practitioners of Idaho. Her research interests include easing the role transition of new graduate APRNs, decreasing role ambiguity, and using social media to engage research responses. In addition to her teaching and research interests, she has worked as an FNP in the inpatient setting, the outpatient setting, as well as the emergency department of the Boise VA Medical Center. Currently, she volunteers at a local Christian low-income medical clinic. b She and her husband, Andrew, happily reside in Eagle, Idaho. They are proud parents of two sons -Josiah and Liam. And to make sure they can never relax they also have two dogs, CleoNora of the Lyles, a vizsla and Pierre, a French Bulldog.
