Jay McEntire is a trial attorney for the Federal Defenders of Eastern Washington and Idaho. He primarily represents clients charged with white collar offenses, as well as serious assaults and murders in Indian Country. He has taken several federal criminal cases to trial, all of which resulted in acquittals. He is a big believer in running a paper-free practice, including at trial. Before joining the Federal Defenders, he spent two-and-a-half years clerking for the Honorable Edward F. Shea, U.S. District Court – Eastern District of Washington. He enjoys skiing, triathlon, stylish socks, and talking about good grammar.
