Cultural Immersion Learning in the heart of Florence
Gonzaga’s own full-service campus in Florence is located 1-½ blocks north of Piazza San Marco and the Accademia Museum, in central Florence. The campus building overlooks botanical gardens, and includes modern classrooms, a full-time staff, a large computer lab, a renovated student lounge, a fitness center, high-speed WiFi, and a complete library. A comfortable and productive home-base for coursework, competition practice, study, and socializing.
Moreover, Gonzaga’s campus is mere steps away from the cultural heart of Florence. A five minute walk takes students to Piazza del Duomo, where students can marvel at the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Basilica di San Lorenzo, and the Medici Chapel. Nearby, students can browse the street vendors of the San Lorenzo Market, eat and shop in the historic Mercato
Centrale, and walk east toward the history and culture of the Santa Croce district. Five more minutes south, and students encounter Piazza della Repubblica, Piazza della Signoria, the Palazzo Vecchio, and the unparalleled Uffizi Museum. Cross the River Arno on the Ponte Vecchio, and even more wonders await students on the “Oltrarno,” the other side of Florence.
This special environment ensures that students will study international and comparative law through a unique lens of history, culture, art, fashion, and cuisine!
International Participants
The program is open to students from law schools outside of the United States and Canada, as well as foreign attorneys and government officials invited to attend one or more of the Florence courses as a non-degree student. Non-degree participants may receive a Certification of Participation in International and Comparative Law in Europe at the conclusion of the Program.
