OPTION 1: Immersion at St. Andrew’s Abbey
Students can travel to St. Andrew's Abbey for the week of April 12-16 and spend two hours each day exploring course themes with Fr. Francis Benedict, O.S.B., one of the members of the monastic community there. Students are responsible for their own travel to and from Valyermo, California and must make financial arrangements for a guest room at the Abbey directly with the Guest Office there. If the monastery is still closed to visitors in April 2021, then the alternative option is for students to join the Zoom-based immersion experience (see option 2 below).

OPTION 2: Virtual Immersion
Students can also fulfill the immersion component through four, two-hour Zoom-based synchronous meetings during the week of April 12-16, 2021. In addition, students will be required to spend from one and a half to two hours a day in asynchronous assignments during that week.
