About This Event

Dr. Quin’Nita Cobbins-Modica, Post-doctoral Teaching Fellow in Gonzaga’s History Department, will be presenting a talk titled, "Reclaiming the Black Past: Black Women in Pacific Northwest History.” This lecture will examine not only regional history, but also the methods historians employ to extend the reach of their work to broader publics. As the Assistant Content Editor for BlackPast.org, the leading digital space dedicated to providing information to the general public on African American and African diasporic history, Dr. Cobbins-Modica will share some unique insights experienced in her work as a public historian in the digital age.
