Current and Former Students

Students now have the option to access the National Student Clearinghouse directly from Zagweb. This free service allows students to perform a wide range of enrollment verification activities through the Web such as printing enrollment verification certificates (current or all enrollment) for insurance purposes, capabilities to view enrollment history status, ability to check enrollment verifications that the Clearinghouse has provided to student service providers, ability to view student loan deferments, and providing a link to real-time information on student loans.

After entering the secured area of ZAGWEB, click on "Student & Financial Aid" followed by "National Student Clearinghouse." You can access Zagweb with your social security number or Gonzaga ID number and PIN information. If you have any trouble accessing Zagweb, please contact the Registrar's Office at (509) 313-6592.

Students can also request an enrollment/degree verification by completing the Enrollment Verification Request Form from the Forms web page and drop the form off at our office or submit by mail/fax (contact information found at bottom of form). This form should be used when the Registrar's Office is asked to complete additional documentation to verify a student's status.

Non-Student, 3rd Party Requestors

Gonzaga University has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) to act as its agent for verification of degrees and enrollment status. Please visit the NSC at http://www.degreeverify.org for verification service 24/7/365. The results of the inquiries delivered by the NSC are based on official Gonzaga University student records.

FERPA Considerations

In order to be in compliance with the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA), the information provided by Gonzaga University has been determined as Directory Information. A request for information deemed in excess of Directory Information must be accompanied by a signed and dated authorization from the owner of the student record specifying the type of information and to whom the information is being released. For further information on FERPA on the rights afforded to students, please refer to the FERPA page on our website.

A student has the right to exercise the option to restrict the release of their Directory Information. If this case is true, the requesting party will be informed that the record of the student does not exist.
