Project Management Office

To better serve and respond to its customers throughout the University the project Management office was created with a focus on managing IT projects and creating and implementing communication tools to better inform the campus about current and upcoming projects, their timeframe, impacts and status. As part of its on-going efforts to better serve and respond to its customers throughout the University, ITS has formed an IT Project Management Office.

What is a project? 
A temporary endeavor, with a definite beginning and end, undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result. 

Gonzaga ITS projects meet any of the following criteria:

  • Resource time exceeds 20 hours;
  • Base-building expense exceeds $5,000
  • Project cost exceeds $10,000;
  • Discretion of ITS CIO or Directors. 

    Project Excludes: 
  • Incidents or general support requests;
  • Routine operational activities (e.g. patching servers).
