At Lidgerwood Elementary School, 46 'fifth-graders will never have to worry about affording college. Three years ago, Neice Shafer ('71) and Patsy Etter (M.A. '81) promised these children that if they graduated from high school and were accepted to college, their tuition would be paid. Today, their standardized test scores are up, and the possibility of a college education is a reality for four dozen students whose lives are already changed by the generosity of these Gonzaga alumnae.
