Reunion FAQ

We're excited to welcome all alumni back to campus for Alumni Reunion Weekend October 16 – 18, 2020. This year we will have special celebrations for the Classes of 2015, 2010, 2005, 2000, 1995, 1990, 1980, and Gold Club (1970 and beyond).

Your registration fee covers entry into all reunion events except for lunch in the COG. Certain events include drink tickets which will be presented to you at the event.

Each class will have many opportunities to get together, beginning Friday night at the Hamilton Block Party! While everyone is welcome to visit each stop along the block party, classes will have designated spots to begin, selected by your Class Planning Committee, so you can find each other. We’ll share these here and on your Class Pages when they are selected (Locations are: Geno’s, Logan Tavern, Jack n’ Dan’s).

On Saturday, be sure to make time to gather for your Class photo and campus tour with your class and the classes nearest you in age. All photos take place in front of College Hall (you may have called it the Ad Building).

Then on Saturday evening, find your classmates during Oktoberfest at your class tables! They’ll be marked with your class years so you can spot each other in the party.

All events are “GU Casual”

No. Alumni Reunion Weekend used to share the weekend with Fall Family Weekend but that is no longer the case. Thanks to some feedback from our reunion attendees, we chose to separate the two weekends to dedicate an entire weekend to you, our alumni! PLUS, you are not battling for hotel rooms and car rentals. 

You are welcome to park in any campus lot during reunion, parking permits are not required. 

Reunion check-in is from 2 pm - 5 pm on Friday evening and 9 am - 11:30 am on Saturday. 

We are hard at work planning for your reunion and anticipate opening Alumni Reunion Weekend registration by mid-July. Don’t worry, we’ll email you when registration is live. 

We’re excited to offer a number of events throughout the weekend. Reunion class social hours, campus tours, academic offerings and much much more. We want you to have the best time with your classmates! Most events are family friendly! Keep in mind that some events may be 21+ only or might be held at 21+ establishments, but we will clearly label these events on registration. We’ll also update your class pages when locations are confirmed.

Due to liability regulations we are not able to offer childcare on campus, but you are welcome to hire some of our amazing GU students on your own! You can find, interview, and hire student workers through a student-run startup called Oddjobbers here!
