2018-19 Meal Plans

All students living on campus required to purchase a meal plan will select one of the following plans. Any enrolled student may purchase one of the plans.

Platinum All Access

Provides unrestricted entrance into the dining hall and 500 Bulldog Bucks $2,980.00

  • Includes 5 guest meals (swipes) per semester
  • Includes 4 parent/family meals (swipes) per semester

Gold 16

Provides 16 meals (swipes) in the dining hall per week and 550 Bulldog Bucks $2,955.00

  • Includes 5 additional guest meals (swipes) per semester

Silver 12:

Provides 12 meals (swipes) in the dining hall per week and 700 Bulldog Bucks $2,865.00

  • Includes 5 additional guest meals (swipes) per semester

Blue 225

Provides 225 meals (swipes) in the dining hall during the semester and 600 Bulldog Bucks $2,895.00

  • Allows student to swipe for guest(s); will deduct from available meal balance

White 175

Provides 175 meals (swipes) in the dining hall during the semester and 800 Bulldog Bucks $2,865.00

  • Allows student to swipe for guest(s); will deduct from available meal balance

At the end of the semester Bulldog Bucks roll over, unused meals do not.
Per week meal count resets before breakfast on Friday.
Meal plans cannot be changed or upgraded after 5:00pm on Friday, last day of the first week of class.

Community Meal Plans

Zag Dining offers Community Plans to students living off campus or on campus who are not required to purchase a meal plan. The plan is purchased directly from Zag Dining and cannot be added to the student account or payment plan. For more information visit www.zagdining.com, click on the Dining Plans tab.

Bulldog Bucks Quick Facts

Bulldog Bucks included with a meal plan will be available two days prior to move in day.

Bulldog Bucks availability during the first week of class: Each student will receive $500.00 in Bulldog Bucks regardless of the plan selected (every plan includes at least $500.00). After the meal plan change period ends, students selecting a plan which provides more than $500.00 in Bulldog Bucks will have the difference added to their balance the following week. Voluntary deposits, not part of a meal plan, will be available immediately.

  • A stored value account managed by the University
  • No fees, cannot be overdrawn, availability of funds is confirmed a the time of sale
  • Available funds roll over from semester to semester and year to year, available until graduation
  • Accepted at all Zag Dining locations, multiple departments on campus and participating off campus location. Visit Bulldog Bucks Welcomed Here for a current list of participating locations
  • Currently tax free when used on campus at Zag Dining locations
  • There are prohibited items that cannot be purchased using Bulldog Bucks, find the complete list in the ZAGCARD Terms and Conditions
  • ANYONE can make a deposit as long as they know the student ID number of the recipient by visiting www.gonzaga.edu/bulldogbucks
  • Bulldog Bucks available balance and transaction history can be viewed in Zagweb (https://zagweb.gonzaga.edu)
  • The University limits the available Bulldog Bucks balance to $2,500.00

How to Purchase a Meal Plan

For students living on campus required to purchase a meal plan (freshman and sophomores) the cost will be included in the Student Accounts billing statement. Plans are selected in Zagweb as part of housing selection process. If a meal plan is not selected, the Platinum all Access plan will automatically default.
  • Each semester students have until 5:00pm on Friday, last day of the first week of class to change their meal plan in Zagweb.
  • The meal plan selected for fall semester will automatically default for spring semester. The meal plan can be changed in Zagweb before 5:00pm on Friday, last day of the first week of class.

Any enrolled student may purchase one of the listed meal plans. Simply make a payment through CASHNet or at the Student Accounts Office in the amount of the cost of one of the five plans listed above, and then contact the Student Accounts Office at (509) 313-6812 or studentaccounts@gonzaga.edu to activate the plan. If the cost of the meal plan needs to be included in a payment plan, the student must contact or visit the Student Accounts Office to make arrangements.

In addition to the meal plans listed, Zag Dining offers Community Meal Plans to students that are not required to purchase a plan. These plans provide a specific number of meals (swipes) into the dining halls and are sold directly by Zag Dining. To view a list of available plans visit: www.zagdining.com. These meal plans cannot be added to the student account or included in a payment plan.

  • CASHNet - University debit/credit payment portal
  • COG (kog) - Main dining hall located in the Hemmingson Center
  • Late Night - COG open with limited menu and planned activities on Friday and Saturday nights, meal (swipe) or Bulldog Bucks can be used to cover entrance fee
  • Swipe - The act of swiping the ZAGCARD to enter a dining hall = 1 meal
  • ZAGCARD - Gonzaga University ID card required to access meal plans and Bulldog Bucks
  • Zag Dining - University dining team, managed by Sodexo
  • Zagweb - University self-service web information system
