Global Diversity Scholarship Application

CGE Global Diversity Scholarship Award Overview:

The Center for Global Engagement Global Diversity Scholarship (CGE-GDS) recognizes the academic achievement and potential of international students who, through sharing their varied cultural perspectives, will impact the education of Gonzaga’s global community. Gonzaga offers these tuition scholarships as part of our mission to “foster a mature commitment to dignity of the human person, social justice, diversity, intercultural competence, global engagement, solidarity with the poor and vulnerable, and care for the planet.”

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be an international student intending to study on a non-immigrant visa (F-1, J-1, etc.)
  • Complete the application for admission by December 1

Selection Criteria:

Scholarship recipients are selected by the CGE-GDS selection committee based on the following:

  • Application and Essay submission (see below)
  • Past academic performance
  • Leadership and participation in campus or community activities
  • Preference given to students from underrepresented countries and backgrounds

Award Information:

This renewable scholarship can only be applied toward Gonzaga undergraduate tuition during fall and spring semesters. Recipients must maintain good academic standing throughout their studies (2.0 GPA). No student may be awarded the scholarship for more than four academic years. The CGE-GDS selection committee determines the amount and duration of each award.


Fall semester applications are due January 1.
