I focus on current financial accounting standard-setting activities and thorough understanding of more difficult financial accounting issues. My interest in this part of the accounting world was developed during year-long fellowships at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (Office of the Chief Accountant) and KPMG (Department of Professional Practice), and through continuing professional education presentations to accounting professionals presented over a fifteen-year time span. I believe that rigor is the single most important dimension of education.
