I have been privileged to be the Senior Faculty member of the Department of Counselor Education. I have been fortunate to be a professor here for 38 years. During that time, it has also been a rich experience to chair the department for over half of that time.

My role now is to train graduate students in the Clinical portion of their education. My special emphasis is training our students in the Pre-practicum, Practicum, and Internship components of the program. I place a special emphasis in preparing my students for immediate placement in professional roles and in Doctoral program entrance for those who choose this track. As a lifelong consultant I work especially closely with couples employing the research findings of the Gottman Institute to my cases.
