Dr. Bailey received his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 2005 and received his Juris Doctorate in 2009 from Barry University. He was a private-practice attorney from 2009-2015 in Columbus, Ohio handling a wide variety of legal matters for his clients. In addition to law, he is very passionate about sports and in 2015 decided to pursue a profession in the sports realm. In 2015 he began teaching at The Ohio State University as a master’s student and knew he had found his calling. Upon completing his Master of Science degree in Sport Management in 2016, he began to pursue his PhD in Sport Management, which was conferred in the summer of 2019.
Dr. Bailey is interested in the development of rules in sport and their impact on fairness, and entertainment. He also conducts research on legal matters related to sport and society with a focus on justice and equity.
