Accessible Seating and Wheelchairs


Commencement 2017

Students can rent a wheelchair for the weekend. There is a $100 wheelchair deposit with a non-refundable $5 wear and tear fee. This payment of $105 will be accepted through credit card or debit card. Once the wheelchair is returned to Health & Counseling in the same condition, a refund of $100 will be issued to the  credit or debit card. The wheelchairs in Health & Counseling Services are rented on a first-come, first-served basis. Please make your reservation early to ensure your wheelchair accommodation. Students can check out a wheelchair either Thursday, May 11 (10a – 5p) or Friday, May 12 (8a – 5p) at Health & Counseling Services. Wheelchairs can be returned to Health & Counseling Services either Sunday, May 14 (12:30p – 2:30p) or Monday, May 15 (8a – 5p). Wheelchairs will not be available for pick up and drop off other than those times.

If you would like to borrow a wheelchair for use at the campus events, please fill out the following Wheelchair request form and contact contact Gonzaga Health & Counseling Services at 509-313-4053, or if yiou have any questions.

Please arrive early at each event to obtain assistance for accessible seating.

McCarthey South Lawn - Socials on Saturday and Sunday
No seating is provided for the Champagne Social events.

McCarthey Center - Commencement Mass, and Law and Graduate Commencements Saturday
Event management staff is available to help direct you to disabled seating areas in sections 101, 108, 111, 112, and 118.  Visit the McCarthey website for disabled guest services information.
