Duties and Responsibilities  Always come to work with a clean uniform.  Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation.  Be a team player--support and assist your fellow team members whenever possible.  Maintain sanitary standards.  Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and expedite food orders.  Ring guest orders into the cash register or POS system  Accurately charge the guest and collect payment for orders.  Process credit and debit card transactions.  Answer phone and take phone orders.  Interact with customers in a friendly and efficient manner.  Fill orders, from making sandwiches and salads to general food prep.  Maintain hot or cold temperature conditions as per standards.  Maintain appropriate portion-control.  Clean tables and chairs frequently.  Clean equipment, as assigned, thoroughly and in a timely fashion.  Keep floor in work or service area clean and free of debris.  Complete shift work, as assigned, timely and thoroughly in accordance with department standards. For Pizza Makers: Our pizzas are made with fresh dough, and pressed and hand tossed with finesse by our extraordinary pizza bakers. Then they are handcrafted and baked in our brick-fired oven. This position requires great customer service skills, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to multitask. Our oven requires a constant awareness of pizza position and timing. But when done right, you will not find a better pizza anywhere. Though your primary focus will be on ensuring we have the most tantalizing and satisfying pizzas in town, you may also function in every other capacity to fulfill our strong belief in teamwork. You will be trained to slice and prep foods, make sandwiches, run the cash register (POS) system, and maintain a clean and sanitary environment. You will interact with customers on a daily basis, and they will watch your incredible pizza skills as you craft and bake their pizzas before their eyes! We are looking for character driven people with strong work ethic to help us establish our new restaurant as the place to get fresh, unique sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and salads. For Bakers: Our bakers start baking as early as 5 a.m. on some days. They craft the incredible sourdough and wheat loaves, pizza crust, bread sticks and more by hand every day. There is little that compares to the smell of Caruso's signature breads baking in the oven! Bakers must be 18 years of age or over to utilize the power mixer. Additionally, all employees are required to have a current Washington State food handlers card and Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) card. These can both be obtained online. Though your primary focus will be on ensuring we have the freshest and tastiest breads in town to serve our guests, our bakers will also function in every other capacity to fulfill our strong belief in teamwork. You will be trained to slice and prep foods, make sandwiches and pizzas, run the cash register (POS) system, and maintain a clean and sanitary environment. You will interact with customers on a daily basis, and "be on stage," as our bakery is featured in our restaurant. Customers will watch with awe the incredible job you do through a window every customer will pass by to place their order. For General Crew-members: St. Crew members will interact with customers every shift, maintain a spotless environment, prepare sandwiches, soups, salads, and pastas, ring orders and cash out guests, clean dishes, and any other responsibility necessary to deliver the incredible Caruso's dining experience to our guests. We will be opening beginning in June, and will conduct training classes the last week of May. We will have day and night positions available.

Care Giver - South Hill P/T Child Care Opportunity
Posted Date: 4/23/2015
Description: The Gig: Our fun, highly energetic family is looking for a student to care for our happy 6-month old baby and help get our smart, busy, funny 3-year-old breakfast, dressed, hair done, and ready for montessori school by 8:45 am. Oh and convince her to use the potty, even though she'll tell you she used it last night... (that's the hardest part). The job also requires cleaning up the breakfast dishes, loading/unloading the dishwasher, and picking up toys. My husband often works from home for part of the morning before heading into his office. I work from my home office all day, and am currently nursing the baby and check-in on the kids throughout the day in between meetings and conference calls. Our regular nanny picks the 3 year old up from school around 12 and comes to the house for the afternoon. Our regular morning GU student is heading back to her summer job, creating this opening for you! Hours: 7 am - 12:30 pm M-Thurs (I am flexible on the days to work around classes/work schedules, although I would prefer to have someone that could cover most of those mornings). Starting: May 1 - end of June (the position could also start after finals week). I also have some dates in July that I need to schedule child care.
Qualifications: You must be: Reliable, on-time, flexible, organized, enjoy interacting with adults and children. Display initiative (if something looks like it needs to be done around the house, do it). Be able to survive a house full of extroverts. And clearly if it's not obvious by now, be able to multi-task, take direction and be great with logistics. Infant care experience is preferred. Experience with children under the age of 5 and sleep deprived parents is a plus. You must have your own transportation and good driving history.
Pay Rate: $10 Hours: 22 Open Date: May 1
Application Procedure: Send an email outlining your gig, why you're interested in the position, and childcare experience.
Materials: Please attach resume and list references.
