Individual Contributor

An individual contributor is an employee who is responsible for a task, program or function at Gonzaga who does not have any direct reports to supervise.  This employee may operate in a team or independently.  The individual contributor's success is attributable primarily to his or her own efforts and is accountable for their work product.

Training and Professional Development for Individual Contributors

Gonzaga values and depends upon the many contributions of its employees and asks for their best efforts.  One of the ways Gonzaga invests in individuals, teams and departments is by offering training and development opportunities as well as internal consulting services.  These opportunities are designed to strengthen competencies, increase understanding of institutional Mission values, create a shared language to work effectively with others, build community and enhance informal professional support networks.  Courses and programs are offered in such areas as interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and self-development.

Conflict Resolution

Gonzaga's Human Resources department works with all employees (individual contributors, supervisors, managers, staff and faculty) during times of conflict.  To learn more about the conflict resolution process click on "Personnel Policies & Procedures" under the "HR Quick Links" section on the right hand side of this page.  You can learn the expectations Gonzaga has of employees by reviewing Section VI: Employee Professional Conduct Standards.  The Gonzaga process to address concerns can be found in Section VII: Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution.  You can also contact the Employee Relations Officer at x6909 to discuss any questions or concerns.
