Academic Testing Center

The Academic Testing Center provides proctoring services to faculty that are unable to administer disability related exam accommodations in their classroom or department.

Hours of Operation

All Exams are Proctored by Prescheduled Appointment Only

Academic year (fall and spring): Monday through Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Finals week: Monday through Thursday - 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

**The Academic Testing Center observes all University closures**

All requests for non accommodated exams are unable to be proctored at this time.

All students that require academic accommodations related to test taking, as approved by the Disability Access office have been provided with an accommodation letter.  They have been instructed how to deliver this letter to their faculty and discuss their accommodation needs.  They have received training regarding how to schedule exams via an online portal in partnership with the Academic Testing Center.  Students requiring academic test accommodations are expected to schedule all exams at least 3 business days in advance of an exam date.

Faculty communication is a key component to the exam proctoring process.  Faculty contact is required in circumstances where a student is unable to schedule an exam online such as: an exam was announced in class with less than 3 business days notice; an exam date was moved to a date within fewer than 3 business days; a student was hospitalized or otherwise unable to schedule their exam online.

Final Exams

During the University Finals week, due to extremely high exam volume, the Academic Testing Center utilizes a time block schedule.  This schedule follows a morning, afternoon, evening block schedule. Available exam blocks are as follows.  If an exam duration is less than they typical 2-hour final exam period, students are restricted to the listed start times.  Students are required to schedule for the exam time that most closely correlates with their assigned final exam time in class.  Any issue regarding appropriate scheduling date, time, or exam conflicts should be discussed between the student and their faculty.
